Webinar Series: Purple Teaming - Validating Detection & Response Capabilities
NetWorks Group recently welcomed two new Security Engineers to our Managed Security Services team. Having completed their first 30 days at NWG, Suhani Bhakta and Joash Cetoute have had the opportunity to immerse themselves in our dynamic work environment and gain valuable insights into our company culture and values. We asked them to share their initial impressions and experiences to provide a glimpse into what it's like to be a part of our team.
Unlike my interviews with previous employers, my interview process with NetWorks Group was by far one of the best experiences from start till finish. From my first interview learning about NWG and their purpose, I knew this company wanted to make a genuine difference to provide stable security strategies for their partners. My next career opportunity needed to elevate my skill set in network engineering and security, and I was fortunate to receive an amazing opportunity to join their team. Here are some aspects of the opportunity that really stood out to me.
Healthcare has always been important to me and my family, and when I learned NetWorks Group provided full medical coverage to all their employees and families I was ecstatic. Moreover, the enrollment process was easy and seamless, so it was not a hassle to sign up unlike most medical enrollment processes.
Even though this was my first opportunity working fully remote, my transition to the remote work environment was so smooth. NWG has a remote work culture that is embracive, as leadership fully understands and supports the culture and productivity that comes with it.
Since day one, I felt a sense of belonging and felt the collaborative nature of the MSS team. As I began to learn various applications and processes, the MSS team was helpful in answering all my questions and providing guidance and insight across processes. Outside of the MSS team, I met with other team members and appreciated the collaborative work environment and culture. As I near my thirty day mark, I hope to continue to learn as well as add to my skillset to further assist partners with mitigating potential vulnerabilities and risks across their organizations.
I truly thank the NetWorks Group team for taking a chance on me and giving me the best 30 day experience I could have ever asked for!
Let me give you a little background on how my journey led me here to NetWorks Group. I began looking for a new job just over a year ago after my son was hospitalized for almost a week. That led me to the realization that my family was lacking adequate and affordable medical insurance. Additionally, my work at the time, although not toxic, wasn’t a very good fit in terms of what I was passionate about.
Fortunately, I had the luxury of being very selective in terms of my next career opportunity and took my time in choosing my future employer. All that led me here, as it was clear from my very first interview that NWG was the company that I was looking for. In fact, in some ways, it even exceeded my expectations. Let me tell you the things that stand out to me about this organization.
Especially for those of us parents, we appreciate the need to have affordable, adequate healthcare to cover our whole family. I was pleasantly surprised to find the company offered that and it was important to the leadership to have it for all of the employees (regardless of location).
Although having a remote workforce is increasingly a part of many businesses, the way it’s implemented is often lacking or even discouraged. NWG has adopted remote work the way it should be done, by embracing a remote work culture. A key factor is that the leadership fully understands and supports remote work.
To me the best thing working here is the people. Granted, we’re all different, but the diversity and background that each and everyone brings with them make the workplace enjoyable and creates an almost stress free environment. This mindset is immersed in the entire company from the leadership on down. The company’s structure is not used to separate people, as there is a real open door policy here. There is a strong team mindset that permeates throughout the entire company. What I like the most about working here is that NWG is always striving to improve for the staff as well as the customers.
Although it usually takes time for me to praise anything, and I never thought I would feel this way, this has so far been the best work experience that I’ve ever had.
